On Thursday 16th February W Bro Bill Wenton was Installed as Worshipful Master, of Excelsior Mark Lodge 359 by W Bro Ged Wilson in fine style. |
Just a few weeks ago, on the 6th February W Bro Bill was the installing Master at Coronation Mark 563. W Bro Bill is a singer by profession and in particular |
Mo-town style, he travels across the country and on occasions’ he also travels abroad in his work. |
Bill is very well known in the Liverpool music scene. He also very involved in helping the less fortunate in society especially children. |
Brethren who have also had a similar experience will recognise the difficulty that may arise from taking an active part in ritual. It was fortunate for W Bro Bill that |
W Bro Ged had worked hard at learning the work as Installing Master. It can be difficult at times, not to be tempted to prompt a Brother if they hesitate for a moment, however this was not the case at this Installation. |
At the beginning of the meeting the Worshipful Master welcomed W Bro Graham Bailey PGSB the Provincial Representative for the Installation. |
Among the visitors were W Bro Alan Foster Prov G SW, W Bro Alan Fairhurst and W Bro Stephen Walls Prov..AGDC. |
W Bro Derek Horrocks gave the address to the Master, W Bro Alan Foster addressed the Wardens, W Bro Alan Fairhurst addressed and W Bro Graham Bailey addressed the Brethren. |
At the conclusion of the ceremony W Bro Graham congratulated all who took part and in particular the Installing Master and the Director of Ceremonies W Bro Harry Billing, who kept the meeting running smoothly and without a hitch. W Bro Bill Wenton then offered a cheque to the value of £100 was gratefully received by the PGMs Representative who promised that would be faithfully applied. |
The festive board was enjoyed by all as the usual Garston comrade-ship and humour flowed. |
